December 2011 - Pacific Smiles Dental is dedicated to patient care this Christmas
Accessibility to dental services has long been a focus of the Pacific Smiles Dental Centres that hug the eastern coast of Australia.
Pacific Smiles Dental is honouring this commitment to accessibility for patients, not only by ensuring most centres offer 6 or 7 day trading throughout the year, but by offering services at times when it is notoriously difficult to get an emergency dental appointment – during Christmas and New Year.
However, accessibility isn’t just about a centre’s opening hours, it is also about offering emergency dental appointments for patients who phone in pain on the day.
The second hallmark that differentiates the quality service that patients can expect from any of the Pacific Smiles Dental Centres, is the reserving of appointments for dental emergencies including tooth aches, broken teeth or chipped teeth. In other words, the unforseen dental emergencies that can leave people struggling to find dental care, not only during the holiday season, but on a daily basis.
The majority of the 23 Pacific Smiles Dental Centres will be open between the Christmas and New Year public holidays, all with emergency appointments available.
Pacific Smiles Dental, Greenhills in NSW is open everyday except Christmas Day, and Pacific Smiles Dental, Tuggerah in NSW is open everyday except Christmas Day and New Years Day.

April 2011 - Open this Easter and ANZAC day long weekend
Pacific Smiles Dental is dedicated to patient care which is why some of our Dental centres in New South Wales and Victoria are open this Easter and ANZAC day long weekend.
The dental industry, as with many professional service industries, typically close over the Easter and ANZAC day public holidays. This often leaves many people within our local community with few, if any options for assistance for emergency or urgent dental care.
To ensure our local community has access to required dental care over the Easter and ANZAC day public holidays, some Pacific Smiles Dental centres will be open and available to see patients who have toothaches or other dental emergencies. We understand that patients who are genuinely in a dental emergency need priority attention.
We are pleased to advise that the following centres are open most days this long weekend:
-
Pacific Smiles Dental, Greenhills: Please phone (02) 4934 9000 between 10am and 5pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
-
Pacific Smiles Dental Tuggerah: Please phone (02) 4350 0500 between 9.30am and 4pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
-
Pacific Smiles Dental Erina: Please phone (02) 4363 7300 between 9am and 4pm on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
-
Pacific Smiles Dental Morisset: Please phone (02) 4973 7200 between 8.30am and 4pm on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday

April 2011 - Pacific Smiles Group now operating in Queensland
Pacific Smiles Group, Australia’s largest network of branded dental centres and eye care
centres, has expanded operations into Queensland with the acquisition of a highly reputable dental centre in Bribie Island. Bribie Dental was acquired from Dr Greg Manzie and wife
Rosemary on Friday 1st April 2011 and will be rebranded to Pacific Smiles Dental, Bribie Island.
The acquisition sees the first Queensland based Centre for the Group, with operations to date being mainly focused in regional New South Wales and Victoria. This strategic move will be the catalyst for Pacific Smiles Group’s further growth throughout Australia’s third most populous state.
Bribie Island is situated 50 minutes north of Brisbane. With a population of around 17,000
residents, patient demand is very strong at the 5 surgery centre.
Dr Manzie and his team of 5 Practitioners and staff will continue to work from the Centre,
providing 6 day trading and emergency appointment availability.
Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Smiles Group, John Gibbs said he was delighted to see the group expand operations into Queensland and was excited by the prospect of future growth in that state.
The popular and long established dental centre at Bribie Island will benefit from key support services provided by Pacific Smiles Group in the areas of Operations, Human Resources,
Finance, Practitioner Services and Marketing, allowing Dr Manzie and the whole Bribie Island team to focus on the dental needs of the Bribie Island community.
Mr Gibbs said Pacific Smiles Group plans to continue its expansion throughout New South
Wales and Victoria while commencing the development of a stronger presence in Queensland.
January 2011 - Pacific Smiles Group supports the flood relief effort with a "double-the-donation" offer
With two-thirds of Queensland declared as disaster zones, we are witnessing what may eventually be declared Australia’s largest recorded natural disaster. The financial cost of rebuilding is dwarfed only by the human cost of the unimaginable heartbreak at losing loved ones, homes, farms, pets, livestock and in some cases, everything.
Pacific Smiles Group is asking dentists and employees to dig deep and give to the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal. Pacific Smiles Group will match DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR all donations to this fund made directly by Pacific Smiles Group employees or dentists before February 28.
