Pacific Smiles Dental & National Dental Foundation: bringing free dental care to the disadvantaged

Pacific Smiles Dental is proud to announce a major partnership with the National Dental Foundation for the next three years.

The National Dental Foundation will now be able to continue to provide much needed free dental treatments to those who may not otherwise be able to access dental care and Pacific Smiles Dental has stepped in to provide funding for the next three years, ensuring National Dental Foundation can continue its good work.

National Dental Foundation is a registered charity and public benevolent institution that facilitates the provision of pro bono dental services to those in society who are least able to access dental care. Working closely with many Australian charities including the Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul and Anglicare, the National Dental Foundation harnesses the support of multiple dentists and support staff in practices throughout Australia to provide free dental treatment to patients referred by participating charities. To date, over 5000 patients have benefited from the National Dental Foundation’s initiatives.

Pacific Smiles Dental is proud to come on board as the major partner of the National Dental Foundation, bringing with it almost 45 Dental Centres throughout New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT. CEO of Pacific Smiles Dental, John Gibbs says focusing on improving dental health overall throughout the community is a key focus for the organisation:

“Our decision to become the major partner of the National Dental Foundation for the next three years is really an extension of our long term commitment to this tremendous institution. Many of our people already give their time willingly and freely to support and provide dental services on Dental Rescue Days, while our organisation also provides facilities and consumables at no cost. This next step in formalising our support is one I am very proud of and which I look forward to developing over the next three years,” Mr Gibbs said.
