A snore guard is a mouth guard type device, which alters the position of the jaw while resting/sleeping so the patient’s airway remains clearly open during sleeping, leading to a reduction in snoring for most patients. 

Snoring can also be associated with a condition called Sleep Apnoea. Sleep Apnoea can be serious and patients suffering severe Sleep Apnoea may/may not be suitable for a Snore Guard. Where a patient is diagnosed with Sleep Apnoea, Dr Henderson will require a letter from a sleep physician to recommend one of these devices to be made. The first point of contact is your GP for a referral to have a sleep test. Dr Henderson can discuss this with you.
